Get Into Em
Striker
100% correct. Cracking bit of business to get so much especially for someone who's had 2 very serious injuries.
If I was the club I wouldn't be doing business with Ross Stewart's agent again. Seems like a greedy knacker who was desperate for a big pay day.
Naturally I think he just wanted assurances that his client would have a contract in the long term if he got injured again. Likely also wanted a larger wage given his importance to the team when he's fit. If Stewart was fit and forced a move it'd be a different story like, but it seems he just wanted to cover himself incase of further injury.
I can see both sides - SAFC don't want him on big wages long term because of his injury record, Stewart wants the opposite for the same reasons.
£10m is a good fee considering, Stewarts got the contract he wants, and Southampton have potentially got a really good player. Win, win, win.
