Best option is to get him on a new contract. If we can't do that then it's a risk.

Blackburn lost Diaz for nowt to try for promotion and they didn't even make the playoffs. They had good offers for him as well.

Injuries have killed us tbh, I honestly think he'd have been as valuable as Gyokores if he'd stayed fit.

His stats when fit were much better than Gyokores.

No guarantee how he will come back. In US sport something like 1/4 players with Achilles related injuries never even return. The idea someone will pay 20 million is absurd if they have a sensible chairman and medical team.

Even without that information I was just about to say that why would a team that will really be almost be demanding promotion be gambling on their number 1 target being an injured player. Would be a huge risk for them

I think only a few days left beofre the window closes it would take a massive bid for us to accept, but no one is going to pay big money until he has come back from his injury.

I reckon he is here until january but im not sure he will play many games in that time

Fuck off man! KLD has no ambition at all to get this club back to the premier league! Running it on a shoestring! No sign of the players we need! The only players signed this window are players they think they can make money on in the future! But because I want him to fuck off means I want Stewart Donald back?? No I want an owner with ambition!
 
no club is paying decent money for a player with less than a year left on his deal who's coming back from a serious injury. boat has sailed with potentially getting his true worth (when fit)

we'd probably sell him for a nominal fee anyway just to avoid losing him for nowt. rather just keep him at this stage but if they chuck a few million our way wouldn't be surprised if that's enough for us to take it
 
Southampton would be taking a hell of a risk paying a few million pound for a player yet to prove his fitness.

From our point of view it would have to be several million to risk losing him at this point in the window.

He said a striker was signing last week yet apparently he isn't involved

Agreed but at least he’d be our player until next summer.

Given we’ve failed to buy a ‘senior striker’ since he signed I’d certainly not be confident in us finding a replacement anytime soon.

I don't think Stewart will sign a new deal a offer of around £5 million he will be sold
