Unfortunately even in my very advanced years I haven't worked out to take it easy - guess it's a relative term as anybody watching me at my pace would think I was taking it easy.Just take it easy, I never race it, I'm always too knackered from the start![]()
I'm in the Green Zone. I'm not worried to much about the run, I've done the training so cannot do any more, its the logistics of getting in and out of Manchester that worries me more as I've never done it before. Not sure im ready but ill be there. What wave you in mate?
Im parking at old trafford. Never done it either. Assume/hoping itll be made quite obvious with signs and staff etc from there.I'm in the Green Zone. Good luck mate. Youre not alone in not being as prepared as youd hoped. Im going to struggle around but ill get there. Not even close. Of my 16 week marathon training block I've only managed 4 full weeks & none of them consecutive. If it wasn't niggly injuries it was illness. No chance I'll be running the whole distance so I'll have to Jeff it.
Good luck to you tooGood luck mate. Youre not alone in not being as prepared as youd hoped. Im going to struggle around but ill get there.

I got to half way and was about a minute behind my goal time but still felt great, put the foot down and by 20 mile had it in the bag. 26 miles - I'm 6 mins off. The marathon is brutal. Well done for getting round, it's something anyone who does a marathon should be very proud of regardless of time.Started off really well in Manchester but legs went 8 miles to go
