I am aiming for 50 miles this month. I've done about 10 so far. Going to try and get that up to 15 today. Had to force myself out in that rain yesterday but did it.

Two of my mates are giving me the motivation. One of them is a really good runner and the other is doing 5k everyday for the month so we are encouraging each other.Fantastic mate wish I had your motivation
I wouldn't know where to start mate I have little motivation and I have several physical issues mind running might help some of them itis a double edged sword, I'd probably be more motivated if I had someone to run with.Two of my mates are giving me the motivation. Start with couch to 5k app mate. You will be surprised how quickly you improve. The last 3,000 places for the 2021 Manchester Marathon went on sale today. Given the postponements from this year, places in all the big marathons next year will be limited
Yep. I'm deferred for Edinburgh & York & I doubt I'm unusual in that.

Ran the Coniston Marathon today, 4:50.
I set out in the challenge group and finished 7th out of 111. The race group (much stronger field) of 159 set out an hour after. The positions are all uploaded but the times aren't so I don't know where my time fits in the grand scheme of things but i was happy with how i got on today - if it wasn't for a very technical and very boggy / wet last 10k i'd have comfortably done sub 4:30.
I'm hoping by the end of next year I can start moving further up the ladders. It was this weekend last year that I DNF'd my first Ultra at Marathon distance, and was last in the Ultra to that point and second last of all the marathon finishers. I started running last April. Stick at it ! I want to do a few Ultra's next year.
It was pretty cool seeing the winner of the Marathon race pass me at 18 miles. I was watching my ankles on a downhill rock trail and the guy who finished in 2:40 ran past like he was on a track - class.
Couch to 5k is a good motivator. Started that and park runs this time last year and I couldn't get around the course without stopping. Was run, walk, run, walk all way around. Then joined the strollers beginners in Jan, and have just signed up proper last month. Set myself a new pb for 5k today, breaking into 27 minutes for the first time. Considering I was closer to 40 minutes last year.IL have a look
