How many times can he effectively say nothing

“Might be Keane, might not be, find out soon” - wanker
I should find out something tonight/tomorrow from a first team source (I know you don’t believe me anyway) but what I get I will share. Get you were all dubious Keane was there Saturday (so was I) but was told way before it was public that Proctor and Dodds were 100% taking last nights games and told they would be in charge for a few games - 2 so far!

So he doesn’t know anything other than we need a new manager? Gee thanks Luke, you sure know your stuff. F**king know nowt shitehawk.
Tbf to him he has followed that up by saying it’s just gut feeling that Roy will take it.

My local non-league team in step 5 lost their manager in October. Within 3 days a new management team were appointed. The chairman had been planning for the manager being poached from a team in a league above for several years and had a couple of options lined up.

STEP 5 . . . Organised. Then there is us.
It is basic planning. You should always have a Plan B if you have any doubt over the current manager.

After the length of time it is taking to appoint a new manager, the conclusion for me is that Roy Keane is not going to happen. If we look at what is going on with second interviews etc., it was never going to happen and has been smoke and mirrors from the people in charge of Sunderland from the start.
I am seriously starting to question whether there is actually a will to actually get us out of this league by either the ownership or the management.

This idea that Speakman is somehow at odds with KLD is completely pie-in-the-sky if I'm honest. Keane is clearly the first choice and the club have briefed that to the press on numerous occasions. If Speakman was seriously at odds with KLD, do we really think the club would allow him to speak live on our official stream before a home game? He could have said anything.

Here's what I think is going on. We want Keane. He's a notoriously prickly character and proving difficult to get over the line, just like last time. We are interviewing for a second choice. Speakman tried to dampen expectations on Saturday (because it's Roy Keane and he could quickly change his mind) and it backfired. There's no way this is his standard process, because last time he had a manager in after six days.

The same people who were there the last time and were able to get someone through the door in under a week are still there now. The one person who wasn't a part of the process but is now is Roy Keane. It's not hard to guess who may be causing the hold-up.

In the sense that it seems that yet again we’ve given massive backing to people who seemingly don’t know what they are doing I’m not bothered. Just f**king angry beyond words.
It has now reached the point that I will never be happy until KLD and his lickspittles totally fuck off out of our club.
Even if they appoint Keane, we get promoted and end up at the top table again in the future.
If any of that ever happens it will be in spite of them not because of them.

Third rate spivs and chancers ruining our club through ineptitude.

It seems to me it's now down to Roy Keane thinking 'Sod it! Don't die wondering.'

The two games they've chucked away have massively altered the dynamic for a new manager coming in. McCann and Neil weren't inspiring options but I'm not sure they'd take it now. Certainly Neil could hang on for a run of the mill Championship club. McCann could get a job at a League One club that knows it's arse from it's elbow.

My fear is we'll have 8 months of a fella with his hands in his pockets waiting for a pay off.

..you tell me mate. Speakman is a bellend. There's too many 'people' involved in the process. KLD wants Keane and it was agreed a week last Sunday . Speakman is standing his ground, last i got told.
Just sack the kernt then. Since when does a middle manager tell the company CEO and alleged owner what to do. F**k me pink. Is there anyone at this club with any f**king guts?

Players are often among the last to find out about a new manager.

Short was same mate, countless so called well educated football people gave him absolute turgid advice.
Definitely. I don't want to waste your time rehashing the past, but - great fella that he is - I will be forever bewildered as to why Niall Quinn thought that appointing Margaret Byrne as club secretary was a good idea. And then to promote her to CEO simply beggars belief. The advice KLD is getting (from whom, I have no idea) seems to be no better.

But we move on. One of these days, we'll have a proper team, a cohesive team of mentally tough, skilled players who don't know the meaning of surrender, players who are genuinely proud to play for SAFC, a team led on the field by a true captain, a leader of men who gives his all every time he plays, who leads by example & demands (and gets) no less from every single member of the squad. And that, my friend, is a team we will all be proud to call our own, a team destined for success. I only hope I'm still alive to see it, but I have my doubts, ha, ha.

To be fair that’s what all the “ itk” journalists say -know the square root of nothing because they haven't bothered to form any relationships with anyone .

The owner is starting to go down the path as Ellis Short took in the sense he is surrounding himself with the wrong people at the club. If the people below him are not following what he wants from them then they need to go, no good saying nowt and letting them do as they wish.
Were we not all told of the huge team of advisers and lawyers he had behind him? How his family were supported by a huge network of football savvy people? Where the f**k are they then? I’ve not seen any evidence of such a support network.
