People use football as an escape from all those things you mentioned, it is wrong for people to care when the thing they might go to for enjoyment or escapism also turns to shit? No, of course it’s not. Nobody’s reactions are more or less valid than anyone else’s.
The fact remains we’re absolutely dreadful at football.
That’s a fair point and well made.

I used to be as passionate. Never missed a home game in 8 years and made as many away games as I could afford. I guess I’m just past caring now. More important things to concentrate on than footy.

..you tell me mate. Speakman is a bellend. There's too many 'people' involved in the process. KLD wants Keane and it was agreed a week last Sunday . Speakman is standing his ground, last i got told.
Not having a go at you but Speakman is just an employee. If KLD (or whoever the owner is) wants something done, then they can do it.

If Speakman doesn’t want something but the owner does then Speakman needs to be peddled.

Speakman doesn’t own the club though, that’s what is confusing me.

Surely if the owner (or supposed majority shareholder) wants a manager and it’s all agreed, then any employee advising otherwise should be told to wind their neck in or get a P45.

The owner not having the final decision doesn’t sound good mind if true
If Speakman is an obstacle, remove it or go round it and let him feel undermined and move of his own accord. Idgaf how underhand they want to play it as long as it’s resolved.

It’s a huge day for the club and they have to get it right. They are seriously reading the room badly if they appoint anyone other than Keane. We are on life support and make the wrong call here will have consequences for years to come.
If they appoint McCann or Neill then you can guarantee the crowd at the next home game will be around 22-25k only then will they realise what they have done.
"We are on life support and make the wrong call here will have consequences for years to come"

Stop being dramatic, this is a club that's averaged a manager a year since Keane left. 13

Probably all the candidates have asked for their application to be withdrawn after watching the state of the team over the last few days.
Or increased their terms/had clauses of “promotion or bust” removed.
