If we go in to Tuesday’s game without a manager in place it’s bordering on negligence. And if we interview again then it’s very arrogant.

However, I’m hoping Nixon is wrong here and that Roy Keane is currently on his way up to Sunderland now ready to meet the squad tomorrow and to take charge on Tuesday night.

So far we’ve had professional journalists saying it’s an ongoing process for days and thats been backed up by DoF talking about process, shortlisting, taking time and fact finding.

We’ve had ITKs saying ‘it’s done’ for days. Since then, Sunderland have lost to Doncaster without a manager and Roy Keane has been working elsewhere.

He needs to be announced in the morning

People will say it’s only been a week but I very naively thought they’d have someone lined up. That’s the point of speakman
