92 clubs in English league football Charlie ... even the Rooney rule has a get out for stat appointments......and read what i said.... i was talking about second interviews mostly......i stick by my estimates and i dont disagree that interviews do take place i just think most positions are 99% decided before they take place!
Quite impressive he’s arguing in favour of second interviews when presumably he used that process to unearth gems like Ross, Parkinson and Johnson.

What happened to his succession plan?
It’s a fair point. But they have clearly been tracking coaches like Kisnorbo at Melbourne City (City Group) and knew of McCann and Lennon’s availability. Keane has approached them and that has caused them to reconsider - he is the number 1 choice and they are working it through. Who knows what’s now holding it up but hopefully a positive announcement soon.

Whilst surrendering 6 valuable points to inferior opposition, Keane should have been on the training ground Monday morning after Johnson was sacked, remarkably pathetic the way this is dragging on

Aye we play again in 48 hours

Unless he takes training tomorrow that’s another game wasted

Then only 15 games left

If they didn’t want someone to have an immediate short term impact then just fuckin keep Johnson

I’m usually patient but been so So poor this

Reckon he “Speakman” needs to go cos of how he handled this. After one of LJs streaks (end of last season or either of the 2 this season) he should have made the short list then (not last week). Should have then contacted short list and made a decision on who was gunna be next before he axed LJ.

Instead this waffle of respecting the process, 2nd interview... Mid season, form flatlining, while we have about 2 coaches to manage first team, u23 and u18s. Because that’s right, wanted to wait till the summer to hire for the u23s. He’s an idiot, hope KLD has the sense to see this and hire someone more savvy.

It’s f***ing obvious listening to his interview why LJ impressed him, 2 pees from the same pod. Hope Keane gets the job cos the cos club top to bottom needs a little Keano I feel. No 1 on the list is Speakman. Love to be in the room when he meets the minor shareholders (That Conor McGregor meme where he says “who de fecks this guy” springs to mind).

His recruitment has been good, with the glaring omission of a big hard athletic bloke in central midfield.

We've been soft there for ages and getting horribly exposed this season.

Ball playing technicians are great, but when we are up against 3rd division physical direct opposition we need to earn the right to play.

Also playing on a ploughed field at the SOL doesn't help.

Hopefully the new lad from Fleetwood will be the solution.
What about poor keeper and central defenders then

Two people who are average middle managers in any other business, IMO, yet some how ended up in senior roles.

KS put that interview out prior to Saturday games saying they would take there time, Saturdays result against the bottom team would change that outlook. I expect KLD has been onto him that this is sorted out as a matter of urgency. Would be amazed if an announcement on the new Manager is not made by Monday morning.

The problem for Speakman is if it’s not Roy Keane being appointed he’s going to get a huge backlash from the fans, irrespective of whether the backlash is deserved or not it won’t be ignored by KLD.

It’ll be a resounding “We want Speakman out” before long, so best appoint Keano soon. 8-)

This for me too

Thats probably where Nixon got it from.
Wasn't what Speakman said, which was reported yesterday, most likely picked up from what was said way earlier this week...

Still believe the press are days behind this.

Words and actions on ITV Friday and today are blindingly obvious.

No one has reported this with much clarity or up to date (as in relevant to the most recent 24 hour time frame) all week.
