If he had to say anything at all, he just had to say the process was underway and we’ll appoint when everything is right. Talking about fact finding and shortlists at this stage is concerning.

I suspect the reason the interview was done was to calm expectations RE a Keane appointment
Even that isn’t the daftest idea. Given what seems to have happened with Poyet last time it makes sense to try to dampen the fans down. Probably should take KLDs insta off him though:lol:

Rumours of Andy Reid and Steve Guppy.
One man if we could “poach “him
Unsworth at Everton-led his under 23s to titie and said before I haven’t seen a more passionate well organized coach in all my visits to Hetton watching the youths .He had the Everton kids hanging on every word -was the epitomy of the word enthusiastic -has brought through some very good players and has an obvious presence .There are others as well -Andy Reid Is a nice fella -his scouse right hand man ? Is the bad cop in that duo ( née idea who he is )

I do think it'll be Keane, unless yesterday makes then think automatic is gone so literally go for a stop gap until the summer where they can look again.

Definitely shouldn't have said anything. He'd already done the podcast where he basically said the process had started. This added nothing but made us sound like we're dragging our heels, which would be ridiculous given we sacked Johnson so we could have a real go at top two but had very little time to do it in. It really needed to be Johnson out and a replacement in within a few days. I hope its not to calm expectations around Keane because that would suggest its far from done. Either way it hasn't worked, if it isn't Keane now and they go for an uninspiring choice there's going to be a world of criticism coming

We do over complicate stuff
Get motivated competent coaches in .
Even this “ they are young so cannot lead”-surely you are a leader or not no matter how young? Very surprised one of the young uns hasn’t stepped up a bit and showed a bit of leadership -aka Henderson or similar.
Imagine Keanes fyass when he finds out we’ve got a ‘senior leadership group’ of 5 shite players including Lynden Gooch.

That leadership group immediately gets disbanded if Keane gets the job like. It's pointless. Not a single leader amongst them. Gooch straight down the tunnel yesterday at full time. Where's the leadership there?! I'd cancel the pricks contract.

We said we wanted an out and out defender, strong experienced etc. No good parting like the red sea and letting several opposition players run at him though, not like we've bought Rio in his prime or even a Nosworthy type defender.

He been poor so far but I kind of have a bit of sympathy with him at the moment.
The two centre halves are always far too apart. Bolton and yesterday we were continually dkne with thr ball getting forward early and laid off to runners into the box. You could have driven several tankers through the gap. Its Sunday League stuff.
