Roy Keane's about to come back and people are going on about Newcastle  I couldn't give a shite what they'd do if Rafa came back. The amount of people on here who are more bothered about what they do than what we do is mad.

Gan talk about it in the Newcastle thread man, there's a reason it exists. So we don't have to read shite about them all across the board.

My understanding from the Neville video is that he was pissed of that, as an adult, he was being told where to live. And by a fella living thousands of miles away.

Keane leaving last time was no big deal at all

Every manager gets sacked or resigned

This idea that you have managers building legacies for a decade or someit is a complete myth for 99% of clubs

I see keane not being heard in a few years and I don’t think that matters

The club is set up to run well off field and change coaches when needed

How people are getting so excited about a 39 year old striker and a has been who hasn't managed in donkeys. It's baffling. We need a proper manager not a shock jock pundit who hasn't done anything to warrant being anywhere near the job

People actually saying we cant enjoy it cos we’d laugh in the mags got rafa back 😂😂

Fucks that got to do with out man ffs

I know where we were, I know where he took us, it was fab

But that doesn’t make it different, its really not.

Nobody wants to laugh at the cult of Rafa and the Mag love in of him more than me, but if tonight, they were on the verge of announcing him as their new manager, truthfully what would you be saying.
If they were in the third tier like us it would be a massive coup.

The board is a ton better for having Newcastle things all in one thread.

Hear hear 👍

We can though, Keane took us up, kept us up and it was bloody brilliant. Then, he. left, and lets not wear rose tinted glasses around the reason he left.

So, not in terms of where they left us in the League, that’s not my argument, but we have ripped the piss out of the Mags for months for their cult of wanting Rafa back.
They were never brilliant under Rafa, though, we’re they? He brought them stagnation. Certainly nothing like the buzz and the good times like we had with Keane. They worshipped Rafa for some obscure reason. There was nothing obscure about the reasons we loved Keano.
He gave us worldwide publicity, he completely transformed our fortunes, and while he walked away under a cloud, he left a great legacy.

The mags have never been anywhere near as low as we are right now, not even close. The media build their fans up as the most genuinely long-suffering in the entire league, which is so laughable it’s ridiculous. What they are is an entitled bunch who think that they should be the best team on the planet, and with that much conceit comes great disappointment.

They are not long suffering because they keep getting shafted, or there’s no investment, or because they are just plain unlucky. They are disappointed because they have expectations and demands which are unreasonable, whereas other fans may have ambitions and hopes that are unrealistic. That’s the difference between them and us.

We’re nothing like the Mags at all, and this situation is nothing like their obsession with Rafa. Some of our fans may be like the Mags, and some Mags may be realistic like us. Of course there’s a crossover. On the whole, though, no one is as entitled and unreasonable as the Mags.

You‘re a top, top poster, Janey, but I disagree totally with you on this.

Ive said, comparatively to the others I’d take Keane.
I am just a bit worried that people think our most exciting prospect is a man who walked away when he was asked to live closer to where he worked. I totally accept I’m against the majority
You don’t know the whole story, stop speculating as to why he left.
