I'll ask again, what brilliant task did Benitez achieve at the mags?

He didn't achieve any, at all. He got the side he relegated promoted. They easily had the best players in the league. He sold a couple of players and was allowed to spend the proceeds. It was a relatively easy task.

Keane took us from absolute rock bottom to promotion in his first job! Now that is brilliant, amazing.

How can you not see the difference? The mags were simply fawning over his achievements elsewhere, not at their club.
Then fucked them off to go to china

Ive said, comparatively to the others I’d take Keane.
I am just a bit worried that people think our most exciting prospect is a man who walked away when he was asked to live closer to where he worked. I totally accept I’m against the majority
Did you watch the interview he did with Gary Neville? I felt the same as you Janey, but seeing that completely changed my mind.

A man who had done an amazing job was asked to live closer to where he worked than a man who lived further away than the man he was telling to live closer to where he worked. Short was poking a wasps nest and he knew it.

It was totally different man

He took over we were bottom 3 of the championship with a team relegated with the lowest ever points total, we then won the league and he kept us up

The place ane fans were absolutely buzzing through it all. People have short memories like

Bit different from rafa spunking about £50 million to get them up
I know where we were, I know where he took us, it was fab

But that doesn’t make it different, its really not.

Nobody wants to laugh at the cult of Rafa and the Mag love in of him more than me, but if tonight, they were on the verge of announcing him as their new manager, truthfully what would you be saying.

Easy to excuse, one way or another to suit the side of the argument you support

Didn't he watch the game from the stands before he was announced last time.
I seem to remember we played better than usual and won that day
Hoping for a little bit of history repeating
Yes he did it was against W.B.A we won 2 0 I think

My understanding from the Neville video is that he was pissed of that, as an adult, he was being told where to live. And by a fella living thousands of miles away.
