Bit he also said you have to align that to the current time/situation, who can get us our short term aims and importantly coaches who get SAFC, because it's not just any club it's specifics around SAFC.

That was an admission those maybe not seemingly direct fits for the current model aren't ruled out and are being considered. Which let's be honest if they weren't would be a dereliction of duty.

Also admitting we were looking at Defoe during the summer again goes against the current model. But the current model isn't set in stone like you think it is.

And also mentions connection with the club and being able to deal with being at the club. Keane meets that criteria more than any other candidate.

It shouldn’t be underestimated. I genuinely don’t think managers like Johnson, Parkinson and Grayson are big enough characters to deal with SAFC and everything that goes with it. There are probably another 10 clubs in the country that comes with either similar or more intensity, scrutiny and attention. Being a footballing philosophy guru or knowing league one isn’t quite enough here.
