I started off on this thread being entirely wishful, thinking that the club wouldn’t entertain the idea. I’m delighted they’re willing to give him a go, I think he has something to give, and I just hope he signs the deal and does the business
I imagine it's Roy interviewing KLD to decide whether he'd come back or not. If he accepts it will be on his terms as to ho how he wants it to go for the best outcome for both.

That’s the only way interviews should be done. I never think an interview is solely about me proving myself to someone else. I’d always want to get a feel for what the prospective employer is going to be like too.

Think you’d be right on this one, Keane would know that if he came back here and fucked it up or spat his dummy out again he’d end up being a pundit and not get another crack of the whip.

Give me Frankie any day over Barnes, at least Frankie has enthusiasm and is a fan....Barnes is imo a poor commentator, not a fan, and gives the impression if it wasn't his job he would never wilfully endure another Sunderland game in his life.
I can't get the match on the radio down here so don't have to suffer it

Do the people who want Keane want him to get a 3 year contract or one till the end of the season ?
I want Keane but as I’ve said all along I don’t think there’s a need to appoint anyone beyond the next 6 months. It’s the equivalent of the Peter Reid rescue job, only it’s promotion on the line this time and 17 games instead of 7. Then see where we are.

I think it was reported he will get 6 months and possible extension on how it goes. I'm happy with that but I do think he needs a full season to have a real go at it, hopefully that will be in the Championship. If things are not going well though I'd imagine he would walk away at the end of season but nobody knows for sure only him.
