Roy Keane

I'm sure the players will be fine, most of the young lads should be buzzing about working with Roy Keane rather than some run of the mill league one plodder. Ultimately we as a club need standards. We shouldn't be in this division and we won't get out of it without having people here who think it's unacceptable to stay a minute longer than we have to. I can't wait to know that someone with keanes standards is in the dressing room. Speakman ensuring we're on the right course long term, but Keane making sure that isn't at the expense of doing what we have to do in the short term. KLD will have another vastly experienced football person at the club, one who isn't a bull shitter, who doesn't need the money and is here for the right reasons and genuinely craves success. I might be being hopelessly optimistic but I really think this is going to be great for us.

It doesn't harm that Keane has sounded genuinely hurt about not getting many chances in management when others are never off the merry-go-round. He will be grateful that, once again, Sunderland are the ones that have given him a chance. Safe to say he already liked the club. Whether he can achieve success no one knows, but the fact is it looks like we're going to have an incredibly hungry, motivated Roy Keane in the dugout, setting the standards and wanting to prove himself especially for this club. I can't f***ing wait.
As much as I’ve shared my views over the years about the state of the club when he left, I do acknowledge part of that was drummerville. With good intentions they looked after player interests more than the club at times. Our structure is so much better now and he will have an opportunity to concentrate on managing and I personally hope he does well and gets to take us all the way!

I think with him working on tv and the media so much it will of changed their opinions of him and maybe made some allies as you can see he’s game for a bit crack, instead of them just constantly digging him out for been nuts and reporting on the bad stuff.

Under Keane we played the best football I have witnessed since Peter Reid. The bloke is just misunderstood. Have you watched that interview with Gary Neville?
But only in his first season. I'm not being over critical. I just can't understand why people think he will be a brilliant choice given his track record since. No, I haven't listened to his interview - link please.

Why would he after what's got on previously?

He's been absolutely spot on with both of these (as have one or two others).

Envy is not a great trait.
Everyone since the second Defoe left rangers knew he could come here, it's not envy it's hilarious only thing he's actually said was O'Brien's involved in takeover which was wrong

Na na na na, I've just been reading pros and cons of Keane as manager. Con, Agbonlahour at Villa he's used used to working with world class payers (when he was at utd) they way he spoke to the players like Joe Cole was attrotious. (He's a fanny).
Player from Ipswich made him captain scored the winner Keane walks in the he dressing room and says "there's my captain" he said he felt massive then he got a bad injury Keane spoke to him says you'll get the best treatment, have a week off spend it with your family.
He seems to say alot about family maybe he will move to the North East and be part out our family, Keano
