Today will be him sitting down with the club and seeing if they are ambitious enough for him to bother his arse with the project.
It's them that need to impress him, not the other way around.
Hope they are on time, and look smart enough for him.
This I feel.

Hope KLD doesn't turn up in a jumper and jeans.

Errmm..no he didn't. Not according to Wiki. He sounds like a car crash at Bolton. Reading his managerial career its seems like one problem after another. I heard the interview with Speakman who speaks a load of sense and then we hear Neil Lennon is on the short list. It would make as much sense as appointing Parkinson. I just don't get what goes on.

Do they ever formally release the shortlist of candidates for these roles or do they just let the press speculate and get on with it in the background?

Sorry like but if that's his attitude he can do one.

No one and I mean no one should see themselves as bigger than the club.

Lennon has only won anything with Celtic.
My nan could win trophies with Celtic. You only have to beat Rangers twice to win the league ffs
Don't think 6 points would be enough to win the league mate, especially as Rangers could also win the other 2 old firm fixtures that season...

A few people saying three horse race with Lennon and McCann. Then Steve F who I think got some stuff right recently said Warnock more likely than Lennon but Keane (we assume) still favorite.
I can only assume 'a few people' are guessing. Lennon is an utter car crash and Warnock would spell the idea of 'philosophy' is officially dead. I'd never have Warnock but his drab performance at Boro would suggest that, at 73, he's well and truly finished. I know us fans think we know everything and are often wrong but Lennon and Warnock are absolutely dismal choices. It would make me question my season ticket and that hasn't happened before. McCann I could live with as it is closer to the model. Neil Lennon???? Really?

This is what I don't understand... The safe option for Roy Keane is to do punditry work ...he's the golden ticket on that it's safe and secure....if he does take the job with us ,and does fail ...then his managerial career will be over as he will have then failed on his last 2 jobs .....it's a bigger gamble for Keane taking the job then us offering him it if you ask me.

Didn't say he sees himself bigger than the club. Neither has he. He has great respect for the club.
He is however head and shoulders above the rest of the field, and knows his own worth and ability, and he will not work for people with anything less than his exacting standards.
They need to be up to it, or he will walk.

I don’t even want to think about it. Makes me shudder.
Exactly, we invest so much time and money into this blinking club and the thought of Lennon or Warnock makes me feel a tad nauseous. I know keeping fans isn't the bal and end all but surely they need to look at recent history and the appointment of Parkinson to realise that appointments like Lennon or Warnock would be demoralising and, if we don't go up, would have a major effect on season tickets - no one will want to invest in those two.

Hardly, he'll be able to return back to punditry whenever he wants. He's TV gold.

Look at Souness, been doing Sky since the 90s.

Disaster at Newcastle didn't cost him his TV work.

At least Warnock would be relatively short term, probably just until the season is over. The other two frighten me more.

I take your point, but if you read those articles from The Times I posted yesterday (originally published in November 2021) you'll see that he's champing at the bit to get back into football & punditry doesn't give him that adrenaline hit. He's a bit bored, basically. That's my take on it, for what it's worth.

Every time I hear Lennon's name mentioned, I picture Silas the Albino Monk from the Da Vinci Code. Only difference being that if he rocks up at the AoL it will be me performing self mortification
Aye.... plenty of flagellation happened already on the pitch this year
