Enough is enough we cant be defending Bruceys transfer policy. Every summer it was buy 10 randoms, 1 or 2 do good and the rest are tragic. Sell the 2 good ones for a profit, keep the shit ones and repeat the process.
My thoughts at the time he did have a negative legacy from Keane’s time to clear up and that was a factor in the process. We didn’t seem able to build a team due to too many loans, signings were affected by the money left.

This one says 4 so no idea now.
From the same journalist as well
From memory we got Turner for a relative pittance. Think Hull had some horrendous financial woes at the time and we swooped in. Certain we didn't pay north of £10m though
Other people have posted another article from the same journalist saying £4m! Somewhere between those two then

There’s the “modern day football” bollocks again. As if it’s now a 15 a side game played on hoverboards.
Just want to quote this again.
I’m watching so many videos talking about modern football, football philosophy, brand of football, football has moved on.

Bollocks. Football always has, and always will be a very simple game. The bloke belongs in football; what he doesn’t know about football isn’t worth knowing.
Mcgeady just been on sky sports there talking about him, didn’t seem keen on it. Spoke more glowing about Defoe
What did he say?

Betting odds reflect the money placed on them. Not the likelihood of something happening.

People read betting odds wrong so frequently.

I'm well aware of how betting odds work.

If it was as nailed on at the moment as we all seem to think, insiders would have lumped on and the price would be more like 1/5 or 1/6.

It suggests to me there's still a way to go in terms of an agreement.

Just that he knows RK very well but wrong to comment. Did say it would give fans a massive lift but muddled a bit discussing Defoe as well

Just that he knew him, played with and had been coached by him. Wasn’t his job to comment on him as a coach or if he should be hired. That’s down to the board but he’s held in high regard here so the fans would get a boost.

Just the tone and demeanour over didn’t seem like he was up for the idea. But it’s well known he isn’t a big fan of Keane isn’t it?

Not too sure tbh. Mcgeady doesn’t strike me as the animated type anyway tbf. Not sure what to make of that.
