Keane's strength was without doubt getting the best of less talented players, Nyron, Whitehead, Collins etc

he defs struggled the bigger name the player was
Fortunately apart from Defoe we dint have those big named players -( Geads if he plays )
So we should be fine

I'd completely forgot about Dwight Yorke playing as a holding midfielder. I

t's easy to forget what he achieved. Even at the time it probably wasn't given full respect because we were at peak yo-yo. You can't achieve what he did in two seasons just by being Roy Keane. You can't do it without tactical awareness and the ability to man manage.

I’m trying to remember the style of play under Keane, from what I remember we were very organised and liked to pass it about without going the full tiki taka route and would fight till the end and got a load of last minute winners

I started the day thinking it’s a bad move no way, I’m ending it singing hey Jude wanting it to be announced asap

I think his style back then would fit us ok. Also our players would suddenly gain the ability to score regularly from 25 yards

442 or 451 depending on the opposition and very well organized usually. Wingers getting crosses in the box. Think it will have evolved though.

That's exactly what I mean. It's harking back to a nostaglic part of our recent history and clinging to that rather than any forward planning.

He walked away last time despite having a decent two seasons. I love the man but I think this will go tits up.

I hope im wrong and if he takes us up ill be more than happy to admit I called it the wrong way.
He walked away cos in those days he was still petulant and still a young manager……years have passed since then but he is still in touch with the game and has definately matured ( a bit )….plus it was clear he had personality clash with Short….that shouldnt happen with KLD cos he is experienced in football ownership

The new regime are doing a lot of good at present dont you think.
On the face of it yes.
Lots of good things, however, we have the opportunity here with Keane to really achieve something. As a League one side, to have this chance again, KLD can prove his ambition. If he turns this down, we know second best is always going to be acceptable to him.

I'd wager that hasn't changed.
