I don’t think you motivate just through fear anymore. Just my opinion

I get where you're coming from but I'd like to think since he's been here and Ipswich he's learned from his mistakes.

His problem here was always that he was used to playing at the highest level and he was the man who held the highest standards in the team.

As a manager he ended up working with players who would never be capable of hitting those standards. He struggled with that concept but I'd hope he's older wiser and from all the punditry he's done he's learned from that

But you're not intelligent and I am, and I want Keane.
Intelligence is relative I guess. If you are a genius, I guess it would make me look less so despite myself being extremely intelligent.

But as we know genius is often accompanied with lack of common sense so that explains your decision.

We used to laugh at the mags over their Keegan and Shearer obsession. We are going the same over Keane and Defoe. We just lost 6-0 and it’s seems forgotten over a couple of big names.

I like Defoe but can’t stand Keane. Some of the things he’s said and done over the years are appalling. We will become Ireland reserves again and that won’t get us where we want to be.
Adam, do as you are told and get back to bed!

Really? I never heard this...

Regardless, a manager isn't there to be bezzy mates with 'Rosco' and 'Winch'
He's there to win football matches and get results.
Keane quit by text

"ROY KEANE'S shock departure as Sunderland manager caused celebration among the players, it emerged last night".

"His exit was celebrated by Sunderland players who followed Keane's example by texting team-mates to revel in his demise."

Lads, let’s calm down a bit. I remember when loads of ‘sources’ indicated Poyet was nailed on so let’s just wait for the official announcement or Phillie to spot him in a car.

Actually, fuck it. Let’s go mental. Keano.
That's in the back of my mind anarl. Gus was apparently a "done deal" then we ended up with Johnson.

Love the myth about “modern players” and the “modern game”. As if it’s now a 16 a side game played on hoverboards.
I don’t recall mentioning anything about hoverboards or 16 aside. But well done on deliberately ignoring the point.

Keane can see sense of sharing the Sunderland workload

"But Keane, who is by no means ready to appoint someone in the short-term, has not been put off the idea by the developments.

"I wouldn't rule it out because the demands on the manager are huge," said the Irishman. "The demands on Alex Ferguson must be unbelievable, whether it be going to dinners, going to watch youth matches, going to watch players. I bet you it's the same with Chelsea.

"I wouldn't rule out something like that coming to Sunderland eventually. I'm very open-minded with stuff like that but it would have to be my choice. If someone came in it would have to be the person I wanted to come in as director of football."

If we get the chance of Roy Keane coming back - In the 1st division wilderness - then we should jump at the chance-.
We need profile and purpose again, Keane would bring that in abundance and well outweighs any negatives
