Your only posts since joining have been defending Speakman. It’s as clear as day what’s going on. It’s embarrassing, Kris.
Speakman is very impressive and is shaping the club behind the scenes. Despite on the pitch debacles recently, player recruitment and hopefully manager recruitment have been outstanding. The decisiveness in the exit door is equally impressive. You don’t turn around a club overnight but iMHO are the signs are encouraging.over time this will translate to results on the pitch.

Speakman is an asset and we need to hang on to him

It's torture this.

Friday: keane says 'the contract has to be right'. So it wasnt done on friday.

Saturday: Speakman gives an interview playing down expectations and talks about interviewing candidates and drawing up a shortlist. So it wasnt done yesterday.

We lost to Doncaster yesterday, so I'd imagine not an ideal time to continue negotiations today. Weakens the club's hand and strengthens Keane's.

Busy week ahead could mean a busy week negotiating.

I hope it means they've come to an agreement today, like. We'll find out today or tomorrow.

He looked buzzing as well. Assuming it happens I think he's delighted to be getting another shot at management, probably had times when he thought he'd never get the opportunity. The fact we're the ones to give him his chance, for the second time, means we're going to have a very motivated Roy Keane who will be determined to be a success for this club. Shame about yesterday, it's probably play offs, but if we get him on an 18 month contract at least there's reason to be optimistic again
