Yeah, he did brilliantly and I'll always love him for that. But if some other manager had a similar record and then had been out of work for as long, would anyone ever consider them for this job?
Kinda get what you saying but Roy Keane at Sunderland just seems like it could be an excellent fit for Keane,Club and supporters.....If asked I probably couldn't give facts to back this up as been a long time but call it gut feeling or whatever it just seems the right fit

A very apt descrition which looks more true by the day. Sorry, I know it hurts.
I don’t live there. And if i did it wouldn’t. I’d be adult enough to realise that not everyone eligible to vote did so in the manner you seem to believe. And as I said there is a forum more appropriate for this discussion. How you can conflate Roy Keane and brexit is obviously clearer to you than it is me. But whatever floats your boat.

So if you have been told there's 3 horses and one of them is Lennon who has been considered a bit of an outsider until you mention him now - what's the names of the other two?
Keane and McCann, I think that’s who the 3 horses but they’ll be looking at others. Similar to when Johnson was appointed there were a top 3, Cowley, Johnson and I can’t remember the other one, but at the time they got in touch with Poyet and Pearson as well

I know over the road said there were 2 interviews yesterday but I’ve been told there wasn’t. The ‘it’s Keane if he wants it’ and that he’s actually been offered it is not true, he’s here today though (not at the Ramside as people have said).

My personal opinion is that they’ll be concerned that he’s been out the game too long and that it’s moved on, he would need very good people around him. Relied last time on people he knew, hopefully he hasn’t lost them contacts in the game.
On the positive side he has been working, assistant and media work, so hasn’t lost touch too much and Laughlin is currently unemployed I think!

One thing i did notice was him telling Neville in that interview he’s not interested in “Philosophies” etc so that might put Speakman off. Can’t imagine Lennon or McCann are into philosophies either like, apart from “drink, drink and be merry”
