Reminds me a bit of when we hired Di Canio, nobody really knew what to expect from it but we were sure to have an interesting ride.

What I will say is the last time Keane was here brought one of the most enjoyable times to support the club, with a squad of players that didn’t give up until the final whistle blew. We’ve had six managers since Big Sam and none of them had a shred of fight or personality in them.

I like the idea of Keane coming back, I’m sure he could do no worse than Warnock, McCann et al

That’s not fair. Simon Grayson….. on second thoughts…..
 
The fact that Keane is even considering leaving his nice cushty role as a pundit tells you everything you need to know about his thoughts about working under the current set up.
The first thing any new manager requires is respect. He'll get that immediately.
Promotion? Yep he's done that - at SAFC as well.
Knows the club and fanbase - and what is expected.

It's a total no brainer for me if there ever was one.
This team will have to run through walls for him, and that's what we need in the run in.

Roy Keane is misunderstood by many, he gets Sunderland and the passion we have for Our club and no one could doubt his passion for winning. Its not about the money for Roy Keane, its the desire to be a winner that floats his boat. It is totally the mentality that we need right now.
No one remembers who came second or were runners up. How many times have you seen a final where the runners up immediately take off their medals.
Regardless of the man you may think he is, no One can doubt the fire in his Belly to win.
For him to even consider us should tell you all you need to know.

That we're one of the few daft enough to offer him another go round and he wants to make sure he has the £ to spaff again?

He was great for us 15 years ago but the bloke falls apart if hes asked to work within a budget or to be accountable

Another one living 15 years ago and assuming no one progresses. If he’s coming to league one Sunderland he will be under no illusions about the budget or how the structure works.
 
Just walked in the office,lad in next office Oxford fan, his sons mate is a sportswriter for the mail and his mate is with the mirror.So both reckon Keano not in the running and the names who are,Ferguson,Lennon,Terry,McCarthy.

Was thinking about this regarding Tony Loughlan, he’s had a some great experience since the first time when he was a relatively new coach

I’m remembering you saying there was no chance Defoe was coming, along with your mate, and looking forward to seeing Keane back in the dugout.
 
Guarantee if Roy was manager there'd be no 5-0, 6-0 shellacking. Players would be too scared to leave the field after if that happened. maybe it isn't much but it's a good start
