We need someone to organize our defence and instil some grit and determination. My abiding memory of Keane’s teams was that they fought to the end and snatched points at the death rather than throw them away. If he can work with the DOF and KLD and get us organized it could work.
It’ll have the stadium rocking that’s for sure.

Hes not going to do that if its a 17 match deal is he .. I would suggest most well paid football people just rent. Quite right too .
 
I love Keane.

One of my favourite players of all-time, and he then went and gave me some of my best ever memories at SAFC.

Logically and realistically, I don't know if this type of appointment will work. For a start, I don't see him linking well with the "head coach" model and having little to no say in recruitment. He's a self-confessed control freak.

Secondly, one of the big issues he had towards the end of his time here was that he couldn't accept how players weren't able to do the things that came so easy to him. And that was at PL level. Yes, it's important to implement standards, but L1 players are going to be so far away from what he is used to that he will need to adjust significantly.

I'm sure he has learned a lot from his time away and from his spells as an assistant, and he seems refreshed and ready for another go. I would also imagine he would do a lot differently this time around.

However, one thing it would definitelydo is give the whole place (fans, club, and the area itself) a massive lift.

Fuck it, sign me up for the ride!

They didnt fight cos they knew LJ was a soft touch aswell
