After leaving under Moyes years & years ago bar a handful of games since, I’m back on Saturday for Defoes return - if Keane comes back then I’m very, very interested again.

Call me all you want but that’s the impact of it.
I’m the same. Not been to a home game since the day they announced Moyes (although I kept my season ticket for 2 years and let someone else use it). Plenty of away games down south and another 2 at Wembley, but none at home. I’m about to embark on a 600 mile drive on Saturday just in case JD is on the bench. And now a possible Keane in attendance too!!!

It's a funny old thing that. Some names keep getting jobs, others don't.

He has however had assistant jobs, which included a pretty successful 5 year spell with Ireland.

Who knows why he hasn't been given an opportunity but why discount him on those grounds? Plenty people like Grayson are never out of work long but what use are they?
Maybe he’s been given opportunities and turned them down, we have no idea really.

I like Keane. It’s always worth hearing his opinion as a pundit because you know he means what he says.

One thing I remember about that promo season at Sunderland, we were scrapping to stay up under Phil Brown and we lost at SoL late into the season.

Few months later, Phil Brown revealed how much Keane had helped us. Apparently after the game, he gave Brown a hefty dossier which contained our tactical flaws/weakness/areas that he looked to exploit. Brown said it was a massive help.

I really like Keane, but his management style? To think that you can slap or kick up the arse, young professionals t make them better strikes me as a little naive in this day and age

I'd never advocate threats of violence as a motivational tool or as a means to get your own way but - it's always worked for me.
