Ross Stewart

One of those that makes you a little bit sad. He's got everything you want from a striker - the complete package. He's even brave as hell.
His body is just not there.

Glad he's made enough money from the game to never worry again. You never know he might just get some good luck and get to enjoy the game for a few years, would be a nice cherry on top.

Yeah. Southampton have an option to extend by 1 year but they might not think he’s worth that level wage considering his history.

I can’t remember who it was but a few years ago we gave someone a new two year contract who was injured. Turned out it was just the money from the last year of his deal spread out over a longer period.

We did that to Matt piper definitely. Did we also do it for that cb we had in league 1
Honestly believe if he wasn't made of glass he'd have cut it in the prem. Big and strong, decent finisher and was mobile for a bigun

If he could stay fit Scotland would have a more successful team

I can’t feel the love - sorry.

He did well for us during one of our poor spells.

He wasn’t here that long and left while injured for what he thought was a better option. That was his choice.

We’ve moved on.

I don’t subscribe to the love-in for ex players unless they have been proper legends like SuperKev.

We are all entitled to our opinion. That’s mine.

The club is bigger than any player. The players come and they go but the Club is here forever.

Literally got us promoted but okay

Good header though strangely (and am sure I’ll be proven wrong) I don’t remember him scoring that many in the air. Always thought he was better will ball to feet.

Definitely got double figures for headers here but would still agree with your overall point that he was better on the deck. I mean he was great at everything really. Football fans always get carried away when they watch a highlight package of a new signing on youtube cos it only highlights good points but if you'd just signed Ross Stewart and then watched the video of his goals in League One and then the Championship you'd have every right to be over the moon. Scored any and every type of goal.

Look at when he starts his run for the goal man, Ballard's won a tackle 25 yards from his own goal and before the ball's even at Paddy Roberts' feet he's peeled away  6'4 striker running sixty yards getting beyond two defenders and then the intelligence to just wait and mug the keeper off. All that when he's ten minutes into his return from three months out injured. Scored one at Wycombe in the 3-3 where he did something similar. Ahhhhhh what could have been, he really could have been something special without those injuries.
