Reported £30k per week..Way over that - at least double, probably significantly more than that. So'ton had parachute money.
If he was only looking for £10kpw, we'd have given him it ages ago.
Is he crocked again like??

It was a Southamton fan that came up with the following (shite) joke.that their main forum? Hardly any replies on most subjects
He's played 106 minutes of football for them. They're not at all happy with both him and the club.

He was no flash in the panQuavers for legs, we are so lucky he managed to complete a whole season in league 1. Wish him all the best.
What?aye the usual thing is if its a £10mn fee and his contract os three years..then his wages are £10mn over three years..
Jason wilcox was DOF at southampton when they bought him..the matser negotiator is now at man utd
He will have to get on the pitch first. He’ll bang them in again nxt year when Southampton are relegated.
That was in the championship but would have had a good uplift going into the premier league no doubt. He's on 20k - 25k isn't he!!?
He is, without him we’d probably still be in league one or at least would have been there longer. His all too brief championship run showed he is at least capable of being a top player at this level and probably at least decent at premier league squad level.Played pretty much every minute of promotion season, and simply wanted what he was worth.
That he got seemingly terminally injured and we would not pay him what he wanted made it an easy decision to sell him and the correct decision.
Lets not he cynical and disingenuous, more than any player he contributed to us being out of the hell hole which was the 1st Division. He should be lauded on here for that alone.
Nah, thick he injured his though in the warm up against Boro then got back fit about 7/8 matches then got injured against Fulham & did his knee. Was it not against Fulham first time around?

Their lass not happy.Still amazes me how he didn’t get injured in league one, have to feel for him he’s barely plated since.
The transfer fee has fuck all to do with the wages being paid.aye the usual thing is if its a £10mn fee and his contract os three years..then his wages are £10mn over three years..

ThisNot sure why some of them are having a pop at Sunderland. It wasn’t like we were hiding any injury. They took a gamble.
That said, I have been critical of Speakman but it does look good business for safc with the benefit of hindsight.
