Romain Mundle

Seen nothing to suggest this kid is any good.

Suppose it’s pre season again though so we have a squad full of world beaters.

Ba 😂😂😂

How long does someone have to be f***ing shite before people on here accept they’re shite.

He’s abysmal like.
Ba - That shot against Sheff Wed that he took from right in front of goal on the edge of the penalty box and it managed to go for a throw in about level with the penalty spot was incredible. If anyone tried to do that they would fail 999 times out of 1,000

I think Ba clearly has ability, he's just thick!

Never makes the correct decision which is the most annoying thing about him

I think Mundle will come good, he’s full of energy and a bit feisty which is a good start but obviously Spurs rated him as a footballer and he’s shown flashes. Just needs to calm down a smidge.
Some fans are writing off every single player brought into the club over the last 2 transfer windows (last 3 transfer windows are always mentioned, but as far as i can remember only Pierre Ekwah was brought in January 2023 and he was a regular last season), certainly because of the football we played in the 2nd half of last season and the position we finished in, but probably because they dislike Speakman and want him gone.

But there were circumstances, main one being that Beale and then Dodds were in charge for the 2nd half of the season, both widely acknowledged as being very poor coaches. And also no decent centre forward to score goals and lead the line, a massive drawback.

How could young lads making their way in the game and trying to settle into a new club expect to be an instant success under those circumstances, it's hard enough trying to do that at a stable club who is doing well.

I've seen enough of Ba to think there's talent there, but it needs to become consistent, I believe he'd revel in playing in Scotland.

Mundle hangs around. Pre season will decide it all.

I suppose more than the equivalent of 5 games would be a start on which to assess whether he’s any good. Talk to any rangers fan and amad is f***ing gash, I don’t think a view formed on a few hours play is always the right one?

Main problem is that we either rely on one player or these young lads get thrown in the deep end. Clarke has kept Mindle out of the side this season and Bennette last, but when Clarke goes, neither of those players have played enough in the side to be settled enough to replace Clarke...its feast or famine.

Signing players always comes with some amount of risk attached, but yhe recruitment in the past 18 month hasn't produced any competition for places to kick us on. All its done is clog the bench up, and that's not even talking about the striker situation.

Mundle may come good, but (like a number of others) he's not ready to perform for 90 mins each week, like Bennette, and even Watson. There's a position we're heavily stocked in, but yet none are anywhere close to replacing Clarke.

It's not these lads fault, but the club seem to have turned into the championship equivalent of the kiddy catcher without little thought or planning as to what to do with them once we've lured them here.

Anderson. Who was loaned out last year

I always say how average clarke was in league 1.

He wasn't though. Both him and Roberts were thrown into a shit unorganised mess with no match fitness. When Neil came in and organised the side and the side began to gain confidence they were more frequently introduced and began to win us games.

Clarke was outstanding late in that season and i was amazed by his fitness and ability to run at sides winning us goals and pens late in games. Initially he'd looked soft as shite and we werent sure where or hoe to pkay him , but it was becoming abundantly clear he was a level or two above.

Whilst it was a bit bizarre leaving him out of the final, it was probably done for a couple of reasons. One being Embleton had been excellent against Wycombe earlier that season (dud he assist two)) and two Clarke was really hurting teams running at them later on, so bringing him on when Wycombe were tiring on that pitch was always likely.
