He is also distantly related to Andrijica Šimić, an outlaw of the Ottoman Empire. He basically stole from the tax office to redistribute in a Robin Hood style. He ended up doing 33 years of bird but when he was released the citizens of Spilt celebrated with 3 days worth of feasts.

I will caveat that because his Wikipedia page has taken a hammering today. Even so, it won't be the biggest load of bollocks posted on this thread.
