Call me crazy but I’d presume if we get 20 million plus for Clarke that even with the fee to Spurs we would still have a large budget to reinvest.

I don’t think for one moment the club would rely on just those. And as we have seen in the last few days with advanced talks for players in Russia and Austria coming out of nowhere, I’m sure the club has a list of left wing targets ready should he move late in the window

Took some time to click but their form in the latter part of last season was top 3 and they were a fannies hair from the FA Cup final.

Losing top talents is inevitable for all teams. It’s how you adapt and reinvest that depends if it’s a bad thing or can turn out to be good

It’s a difficult one, if we can get a striker to actually score goal and keep him for another year we could get promoted. If we get in these three new forwards we could sell him and get promoted anyway. I would try and keep him for another year and hopefully get promoted and then move him on to recruit a better player

That's assuming Clarke's away. Harsh on Alese mind but cannot start everyone and he'll get plenty of minutes given injuries & suspensions.

Bennette is away to Reading apparently?

Not sure where that leaves Pembele, Johnson, Anderson, Hyelde, Rusyn, Ba, Hemir but imo none of them are good enough. Maybe Rusyn at a push out of this lot
I'm hoping we try and bring some defensive cover in, at least until January
