Roko Simic - potential signing


F#cking hell!...how bad can our offer to this lad have been for him to be happy to go to not only a club like Cardiff, but to then get loaned out to the backwaters of Belgium?

Be Here Now must have been part of the clubs welcoming committee.

It has to be this. Cardiff are one of the favourites to be relegated, and they don’t even want him this season. Their wage bill is comparable to the rest of the league bar the chute clubs, and their transfer dealings are often poor journeyman. Very weird
 
I never quite got the hype with this kid some others have had. He’s scored most of his goals in the Austrian 2nd division which is likely the equivalent of the National League.
He may well have potential but he’s done nothing to suggest he’s the striker we desperately need for the here and now rather than in two or three years.

For those saying, ‘he’s scored in the Champions League’ fair enough - it was a penalty like.
Rusyn has scored 2 in the Europa League.

We don’t need unproven kids with a handful of goals in shite leagues up top, no matter how promising. We’ve got a couple of those already.
We need someone ready to hit the ground running who has considerable experience at least a broadly similar standard.

That has to be the most likely imo. Maybe if Cardiff were going to play him, then fair enough maybe he prefers them to us or whatever.

But to turn down the top of the league (early I know) team desperate for someone in your position, to sign for a team who look terrible who want to loan you out to their very small feeder club...what?!
