They also denied any sale is close which looks like it could be total bullshit too.

Agree. If we have a good summer with signings like you mention, then promotion is entirely possible and we’d get to the next level as a stable, well run club with loads of potential. My mate said all along that it would be a season too early. My worry is the negative vibes spreading rapidly if the start of the season is not great.
Persisted with it, up to the self indulgent bit about Donald ranting about twitter and being criticised by fans. Fairly mundane stuff, hope the last hour improves.
He didnt, he said he accepts criticism but will not accept people calling him a liar and questioning his integrity. I agree 100% with him, who on earth has would allow people to slander them to the world?
Just found it long winded and self indulgent that’s all. I’m not really arsed it he gets called names occasionally by some gonk on the internet, there are plenty of people that suffer dogs abuse in jobs every day.
Do they get death threats like he did? He hasnt responded to it until now and he wasnt making a big deal about it, he just said it was out of order which it is.
I think that calling him a liar is wrong . What would help is if they had been absolutely clear about the parachute payments and also if him and CM don’t contradict each otherHe didnt, he said he accepts criticism but will not accept people calling him a liar and questioning his integrity. Bollocks. Its RR's podcast, they set the agenda. Charlie came across as an arsehole who thought nobody should dare question what they do.
As the interviewers were all young lads they let him get away with it. More experienced journalists would have told him to do one. Slight tangent, but can you imagine Paxman or Marr rolling over like that?
RR need to realise that Charlie and Donald get a lot more from the podcasts than the fans do. They seem to want it to be a mouthpiece for the club
In all the podcasts there has been nothing groundbreaking. Charlie seems to think hes doing the fans a favour by him and Donald doing these podcasts. To me it didn't seem like he was pissed off because the questions were too probing and Paxmanesque, it seemed like he was pissed off because the interviewers were asking questions that weren't in SD's and CM's remit: questions that should have been put to the manager, questions that shouldn't be put to anyone they have respect for, statements that shouldn't be said to people they have respect for, and all too often their opinions being put forward as facts. It was just so unprofessional and CM was rightly annoyed at having his time wasted while some jumped-up little journo-wannabes on a shit blog site tries to trip them up into smacktalking their own staff. I would be pissed off too if it were me.
You've got the two owners in a room, so ask them questions they can answer and treat them with respect if you want them to come back. Ask them questions about the finances, the plans for the club, sponsorship, the premier concourse, that sort of thing, not "The manager is shit isn't he? His signings, his tactics, his formations and teamsheets, he's just really shit for failing to get us promoted on the biggest budget in the history of League 1. That one's to you Stu..." [paraphrased] and the like.
This isn't flipping Newsnight where the host is unsackable (and talented) and the guests are going to want to return at some point regardless of their treatment. This is a fansite podcast run by a bunch of nobodies in the grand scheme of things being lucky enough to get a couple of important people on the show. They should be treated with respect and greeted with professionalism and gratefulness that they came. They're not contracted to continue doing so, they can stop at any point. If SD and CM decide not to come back and instead start exclusively doing podcasts with WMS, it's not going to be any skin off their noses.
If either of those interviewers think they're in the Paxman league they need to take a long hard look in the mirror because they really aren't anywhere near, and the difference certainly isn't just how probing their questions are.
Don't have any problem at all with them asking the question. Up to Donald/Methven if they want to answer it or not.
Someone asked Hazard if he was leaving the other night minutes after the game and before he went up to collect the trophy. Stupid time to ask a question like that but they got the answer they wanted.
Grigg is the elephant in the room everyone wants to pretend hasn't fucked us.

The whole thing is just an opportunity for them to come out with usual shite soundbites and platitudes. 'Ooh look how great we are' They get annoyed when they are questioned or pulled up on something.
We as fans would lose nothing if they didnt do the podcasts, the club would lose a mouth piece and would instead be whoring themselves to any radio station or newspaper that would listen to them. In reality, very few would as we are League 1. Nationally, no one gives a shit about us

Agree to disagree mate, the podcasts are about PR and getting their message across. I'd prefer them to keep quiet and just do the job they're supposed to be doing.Charlie and Stu are doing us a favour by doing these podcasts. They're keeping us fans in the loop about the stuff going on at the club and long may it continue as far as I'm concerned. They don't need to do it with RR, there are other podcasts and also SAFC.com.
It's not true at all about the soundbites and mouthpiece stuff. They're open and honest about everything they can talk about, so ask them probing questions to get them to go into detail about those things. Trying to coax them into slagging off individual players and the manager? That's just bad interviewing.

He hasnt lived up to what we expected so far but he's only been here 5 minutes. And lets remember we are a team that creates the sum total of fuck all, lets see how the strikers do with some pace and supply around them.
To be fair they are, we have never had this before and we know more about the clubs finances, player contracts and future plans than we have ever known. Sadly some people use that as a stick to beat them with and would prefer to be back in the dark like the Short years when they were just treated like mushrooms.
They dont have to do these podcasts, they dont have to explain what they are doing with THEIR investments but I for one am glad they do give us the information they do and explain the thinking behind their decisions.
No doubt if they stop doing them, they will get slagged off for that too.
They tell us nothing really. My head was spinning when he was trying to explain the deal for buying the club. It's all smoke and mirrors, mandrox buying this, the club owns that, Ellis still has this, borrowed against three months of parachute payments. It all means nothing to the normal fan so why bother? What message would you like them to get across if not theirs?
