Rochdale home attendance

As a student I couldn't really argue with the £2 treble vodkas in Gatsbys ha. Pub-wise I always enjoyed the Ivy House and the Dun Cow so will definitely be heading to both of those.
You may also like the Peacock formerly the Derry as has been said the Lambton Worm is no longer a Spoons but has live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Dun cow has been done up beautufully.
Get yourself to the Isis too as many have said - forgot what it would have been called in your day - next to the premier inn and museum vaults (on the way to millfield).

I think this is the first time I’ll have seen Rochdale, can’t wait.

Livingstons?

Rochdale fan in peace.

I think you're right in saying this is our biggest game of the season. With Oldham and Bury both being relegated last season (such a shame), we have no derbies to look forward to and so a trip to a proper Premier League ground that we've never played at before is an exciting one. I suspect our eventual total will be at around 1,000 which as some have pointed out, is about a third of our home support (we usually get gates of about 2.8k home fans, with the average attendance bumped up significantly by away fans from the bigger clubs we face at this level).

There was a stat somewhere that we actually have the highest percentage of home fans that travel to away games in the Football League. We may number few at home games, perhaps understandably when you consider that two of the biggest clubs in the country sit on our doorstep, we do travel in relatively decent numbers and especially for big games like this one. The fact you are still getting crowds of around 30,000 at this level is frightening and shows what a big club you are.

On a personal note I'm looking forward to this one especially as I spent three years in Sunderland for Uni and loved the place. I've booked a couple of nights and will be taking full advantage of the chance to revisit a few old haunts. During my time in the North East SAFC were a Premier League club and I loved the buzz on the big matchdays in the City. I genuinely hope you get back there soon enough because you've been through enough I reckon in the last few years. I'm not sure if it will be this season, but it won't take long til you're on your way back.

I reckon we can nick a point. I'd take that all day. Up the Dale!
Sima does not like this post!

Let's be fair....there aren't many Rochdale supporters watch them at home, so for them to come up here en masse will be a total no no.

Not that sure like, they've only been out of the bottom division a handful of time, never seem to get past the FA Cup 3rd round. It's not disrespectful to say they are about as unlucky/shite as any league club over their entire history, they really have had it tough. If I was in their shoes I'd be making the most of a trip/day out to a club like ours and I hope they do & enjoy their visit.

No one else has said it so i will. F**k off ;)

This article is canny. Seem like a really well run club with proper, loyal fans.
Watch the video at the end about Jesus (aka Spanish Dale) saving the club, narrated by the late, great Hawking(!). I loved the bloke's cry: Up the Dale, down the ale! I'm rubbish at links do I hope I don't cock this up, ha ha. Evens chance at best.
