Colback aside, their business so far looks pretty good on paper. Been impressed with all 3 of them whenever I've seen them, but there's always the chance that Pardew will ruin them.
 
They're making good signings on paper. However, not only do these lads need to adjust to the premier league, you could also say they are replacing their two best players from last season, Cabaye and Remy, with two players who aren't as good so overall their team is worse
 
Appears to be decent business. That RB looked the part too.

My only fear with our policy is lingering around our number 1 targets too long.

I think it's a numbers game tbh . So many seem to think they've signed another cabaye, but forget about the obertan's and marveaux's
they buy and sell debuchy but forget about the haidara's and mbiwa's....etc etc.
HBA has now fallen by the way side, Cisse is a cardboard cut out. Gouffran flatters to deceive. Anita is like one of those pointless little yappy dogs. Tiote is one trick pony, that trick being sly fouls.
In central defence they are pitiful . Coloccini isn't half the player he was.
Their new signings are really just cheap and cheerfuls, and the only proven premier player they have brought in is Colback.

A 12m highly rated attacking midfielder who is on the fringes of the French squad is not cheap mate.

It's a hell of a step up from playing in a dogshit league to a big league as many of the mags French players have found out only time will tell if he's this wonder player some think he is .... Still mind boggling why such a highly rated player who'll have been known all over Europe has ended up at the lopsided shit tip

It happens from time to time. We sign players who are known like AJ, Sess and such who could have went to better, more established teams. Just because he is signing for Newcastle does not mean he is not good enough.

They have tracked him for over a year and have went the extra £££ to get the club to sell.

I am sure if I am wrong about Remy being very good, you will have this booked marked and bumped. I hope I am but I doubt it.

We have no idea whatsoever if they're decent.
'On paper', Diakite, Giacc ( both from Italian league and big teams ) were 'decent'
'Altidore' was banging them in over in Holland and for usa, he was well 'decent'
Mannone on the other hand , most were very indifferent about. As they were about Ki and Borini ( cant get into their own sides cant be any good blah blah )
NUFC have signed to 'carlos kickaballs' who are totally unproven. Let's wait a dozen games before they are able to labelled even 'decent'

Which of this would you disagree with:

1) Last year they had Cabaye - a quality established international
2) Last year they had Debuchy - a regular international full back off to Arsenal
3) Last year they had Remy - a top striker who was there main source of goals last season
4) They have lost all 3 and have no strikers to select from and even with these players finished mid table and had the worst record in the premiership from January onwards.
5) They have signed Cabella who has less of a pedigree now than Giaccherini had this time last year
6) They have signed the Ajax captain to replace cabaye - a player who couldnt get in the Dutch squad ahead of Norwich's Leroy Fer.

In short the worst team in the premiership so far in 2014 have lost their 3 best players, have no forwards and have replaced them with unproven players at this level that may or may nor turn out to be good. Is there anything I have said there that isn't fair or accurate?

Ha'way man, they are certainly of a higher caliber than Gomez and Jones. Not saying that we wont sign any quality before the start of the season, but you must admit its been very underwhelming so far.
