Baseline is exactly the same thing, but it's just three notes over Em; I'd say you'd find it on many songs prior to Nils' one.

Tom Petty was my favourite. It was brought to his attention that someone had ripped off one of his songs. He gave it a listen and drawled, 'I probably stole it from Eddie Cochrane anyways',

Probably before that, a lot of the old blues riffs and memories were folk songs played for decades before, never out on record.
