RIP Ricky Hatton

Had his documentary saved for a while and just watched it tonight.

Anyone seen it and what did they make of it?

Can’t work out if his dad was a dodgepot or if he was just protecting Ricky when he went global.

Very sad watch knowing what has happened to him.
A bit of both imo. With him having Campbell quite young I think they wanted to ensure he didn't drink all his money away and kept some to support Campbell growing up. But he's a grown man and you can't just lie to him, tell him he earned less than what he did and take his money off him. I didn't like how his parents were in the papers all the time during the fall out playing the victims - 'our son won't speak to us', 'we can't even watch our grandkids grow up' etc. All whilst Hatton was at his lowest and had been in the press for the wrong reasons, knowing the public would likely think he'd gone off the rails and was behaving irrationally towards them. Don't air the dirty laundry in public, it's dodgepot behaviour.

We don't know yet, his last video on instagram had him training/sweating for comeback thing in december. will his heart be to take it after the drink & drugs and his age now.

RIP hitman
Was just listening to the big Sam podcast and he pretty much alluded to it being suicide. It’s even sadder if it happened that way. Mental health especially in men and even more so in the generation of Ricky where it’s seen as a huge weakness to even speak or admit you have a problem. So sad hopefully it wasn’t the case and big Sam was just reading between the lines too much rather than him knowing something that isn’t public yet.

Think there's been way too many people who you'd expect/hope to know better who have also implied it for it not to have been suicide unfortunately.

Amir Khan’s post pretty much said it was suicide.

Saying that, he’s thick as mince and could have posted that without any evidence.

Haven't made a start on this yet but was only recorded a few days before his death and going off what Barker has said he seemed to be in really good spirits. Just shows that you never know what goes on behind closed doors and if anyone is feeling low to the point of being suicidal then please speak to someone.
