Relegation odds

Jesus. Do you tell parents at christenings that their baby only has a few decades to live too? 😂

Ps. Bet 365 are just doing maths.

Man City would have odds like that if enough people lumped money on them to down.
Just a market opening price that won't have been influenced by public money yet

Probably not even bad odds to lure a few big hitters in early

I think if EFC were going to drop it would have been in previous seasons mate. Its actually a minor miracle we haven't when you consider the last few seasons:

1. Real Russian owner sanctioned

2. Russian sponsors sanctioned leading to us breaching PSR + 2x points deductions

3. Moshiri running out of money from said real owner and having to take out payday loans at ridiculous interest rates (the new owners have paid off / remortgaged these loans which will save us £50m a season in interest payments alone which shows how they were crippling us).

4. Fanbase at war with the board / chairman and protests.

5. Having to sell Richarlison, Gordon, Digne, James Rodriguez to appease PSR and have no money to replace them with like for like.

6. Awful managerial appointments like Benitez, Lampard then Dyche.

Moyes seems to fit the club like a glove and the good feel factor with the new owners & new stadium seem to have created that buzz around the place after years of shite. I actually think we could be Dark horses for top 8 next season providing we recruit correctly + get lucky with injuries).

Important thing for us is getting recruitment right, looks like we're signing Alcaraz permanently who has been great for us since on loan in Jan, we've held talks over a £30m deal for Delap also (but so have Chelsea, Utd, Newcastle).

I like what Vitor has done with Wolves but my concern with him is he doesn't seem to stay at a club for very long, I also think Cunhas individual brilliance lifted the gloom around your place this season similiar to Richarlison the season we stopped up under Lampard. Be interesting to see how you perform without him although you have a few players who are still good PL level players.

West Ham I think have just about enough, I do think Forest may struggle with the demands of Europe / If they lose Gibbs-White. Their owner is a mentalist and could see things boiling over at some point with the manager there.
Moyes is a hugely underrated manager (maybe not on here mind) he’s old school but has also moved with the times unlike some.

Be interesting to see who leaves in the summer and who comes in. I’ve seen a lot of clubs move into new stadiums and struggle due to a lack of investment on the playing side while they try pay back the loans and balance the books.

Vitor loves it at wolves, the only way he leaves is if this season was a flash in the pan and he struggles next season. Which is possible.

Every year fans and pundits claim we will struggle because we’ve sold all our best players (Neto, Kilman, Neves etc) which made me laugh because they didnt realise we still had some very talented match winners

This season we actually are selling all our best creative players so it’s very worrying if we get things wrong.

We have a very good spine (3x very good CBs, 2x excellent DMs and a very good finisher. But we have zero creativity down both flanks. A poor summer recruitment and a few injuries and we will finish bottom.

Get things right and we will be midtable. I’m actually looking forward to the transfer window as it’s going to be more exciting than last season n general.

Ps im interested in seeing how the whole fan experience is at your new ground. Not a fan of these fancy new grounds. It’s all about the build up and things to do outside the ground for me.

I think with the right recruitment we will be lower half and stop up with a few games to go, same with Leeds, Burnley might surprise many too.

Didnt need to be said. We know the task at hand.
Leeds are a bigger club than Everton, Newcastle and Sunderland. Not all 3 clubs combined, although still wouldn't be too far off.
Are they fuck man. Moronic comment.

You've got to know fuckall about football to say this or just be an idiot.

It would be mint if we upset the expected result and sat back with 20% each game but not conceding much and a breakaway from Mayenda et al.
Just have to look at how palace won the cup final to see that tactics are changing from possession football to an organised defence and fast on the break

We did that in the play offs and I think can set up that way in a lot of games next season

We have to target the games against the two promoted clubs as well as those clubs who are only just established.

All it takes is is for one or two other clubs to have a poor start and then we're in with a RLB chance.

Of these clubs, Wolves look like the most likely established prem club ripe for the drop.but there will be others, Forest and Fulham to name two.

Forest will be burdened with the Europa league and their owner is clearly an interesting character. Could be fireworks

Fulham have Marco Silva, who I really like, but they're probably feeling the strain of keeping the squad together and finding the funds to pay for it all.

The rest of the pack...

Palace look resilient but you never know

Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton - surely one of these is about to run out of rope?

Regis will have the lads prepared and believing they can do it but we need to support them like the olden days.

Having read up on Sunderlands ownership & the system in place in terms of young signings / brooding the youth I do wonder if the higher ups will look to follow the same philosophy of clubs like Burnley & Norwich and aim to get promoted, not worry about going down providing they aim to come back up within the following 1-2 seasons with the parachute money ( yoyo club).

I hope not as Sunderland for me are a proper club that has the stature of deserving a place in the Premier League.

I just cant see past the promoted 3 clubs going back down. Maybe one of you could catch out Wolves minus Cunha or a Brentford/Bournemouth if their managers leave / lose a few key players in the summer.

Would love Leeds to drop back down mind. The most deluded fanbase in the country, surpassing even the Geordies.
Oh you exaggerate sir.

You’ve got all the candidates there. Fingers crossed.
It’s gonna be along the lines of the old joke about not needing to outrun the bear just needing to outrun our marras. Those being Leeds, Burnley and AN Other.

Silva seemed to be having a long chat with Pep afterwards at their last game. He’d be my tip to take over at City. I read Pep signed a three year deal recently but that’s probably PR. I think he’ll be gone within two at the most. Which may mean Silva stays at Fulham until then which means they’ll be ok imho.
Palace are always liable to implode. They’ve very good players and Spurs, Utd, City, Arsenal, Everton need rebuilding. Hmmm.
The 3 B’s fairytale can’t last forever.
Brighton seem to have mastered on and off field churn better than anyone in history bar 70-80s Liverpool who were doing it from within. They’ll be ok imho.
Brentford haven’t the gaffer changing experience of Brighton but I think their fellers a bright lad and he knows their success isn’t solely down to him. He won’t be jumping ship. They’ll be ok imho.
Bournemouths gaffer has to be in contention for a big club job. Spurs? Utd? Amorim’s already offered to go for nowt. Hmmm.
Forest will drop down the table a lot imho.Woods is a year older. Both their CDs will be on shopping lists. Hmmm.
Can Wolves maintain their superb form since the current feller went in? He nivver seems to stay anywhere for long. If history repeats they’ll possibly be in trouble by Xmas. I really like Wolves always have, cool colours cool name but we need a few “established” PL clubs to have a bad time next season for our own reasons. Hmmm.

I reckon Wolves will still be down among the stragglers. Forest n Palace would have nowhere near as good seasons as this last one even regardless of Europe. Bournemouth too if their gaffer goes. They’re our targets but we need Leeds n Burnley to be slightly worse than us anarl, if they kick on we’ve got problems.

I romped the SMBs only PL finishing position competition anarl btw.
