Reinildo tackle

Alderete took the piss out of one of their attackers with a great little fake, can't remember who it was he embarrassed though

A few on here wanted Hume to stay at left back in their lineups prior to the game.

Not sure why when we've got a player as good as that in the side.

His dive that led up to the penalty being awarded was annoying however. Stays on his feet and he doesn't lose the ball and that incident doesn't happen.

I'd like him to cut that part of his game out the same part of his game that led to his red against Villa. Learnt the dark arts from Simeone football.
He didn’t dive - it was a blatant foul that 999 times out of 1000 it would be given as a foul. He’s superb - I hope he changes nothing. It also pisses me off when any perceived failing of his gets such close scrutiny when others not so much.

I was posting without having seen it back I had a great view of it live.

I've just seen it back it was a dive. Never agree when those are given as a freeckck, that was even more tame then they usually are. Borini was always bad for throwing himself down any time he felt an inkling of his arm on his back.

Too busy stood moaning at the linesman and out of position for the quick freekick.

Thankfully it didn't matter

George Mcartney was good Bardsley Scot Micky Gray and the unique legend Joe Bolton but Rhino list of clubs and carreer make him superior imo must have been even better when he was younger??

Scott wasn’t in same league.
McCartney first time round link up with Arca was only premiership standard thing of a very poor team. Bardsley of course was a right back of a high standard not left, Joe Bolton had no where near the quality, Micky Grey at his peak SAFC had to be neck and neck with him if not better.

I love Reinildos tackle

Clearly fouled and even if he'd not complained he wouldn't have been in a position to impact the play given where the ball was played. It was actually other players not switched on/tracking runners that allowed them in.

Gray is the only one you could argue. Reinildi definitely the better defender. Gray was decent but where he shone was the ability to get down the wing on the overlap.

It was a blatant foul and as pointed out before once the blatant foul wasn’t given he was in no position to impact the play anyway.
Hes a cracking player.

Where did I say he isn't a cracking player.

I just posted I couldn't believe some of our fans wanted Hume to start at LB instead of him, in first post you quoted.

We have a disagreement on what constitutes a foul and I'd rather see him stand his ground there instead of going over.

Both the lino and ref gave it as a foul/dive by Reinildo (I assume without hearing what they said on their mics)

I think he’s pushed - that puts him off balance and if he tries to stay his ground he risks losing the ball on account of the push giving the opponent the advantage.

It’s not so much who is right on this incident between the two of us more the point I made in my initial post that a perceived mistake by him seems to overshadow his absolute quality.
