Regis le Bris - confirmed

Doesnt Bris in english mean breakage...could rename the SOL as the "Breakage yard" and call him the "scrapman" or "Steptoe"??
The surname is Breton, not French. The closest match I can find in Breton is brizh, meaning speckled or mottled. Brings up an unfortunate image of a mediaeval peasant with a bad case of acne.

They only rep about 40 players and we have 3 of them  Now got the manager too

Not saying there’s anything untoward but they certainly seem to trust this agent.
Oh yeah, same here. I'm not suggesting there's anything dodgy. It just points even more to me that he's a total last resort because everyone else had turned us down.

Basically what I think is that Speakman has messed things up so badly that KLD has had to step in and has gone to this agent that he trusts for advice.

I’m behind him and ready to give him time - relegation - who cares? Kompany has just been relegated and is not at Bayern. As long as he doesn’t give up after the 3rd game of the season and looks like he is making his own decisions

The most important thing is being supported with some actual quality recruitment, whoever was given the job. That will allow us to see what he's capable of and buy him time in terms of adapting.

If he's coming in so the club can stick entirely with those already recruited and continue in a similar vein in the hope he can work miracles then he'll be nothing more than a sacrificial lamb and wont last long.

Truthfully as long as they didn't have a reputation for playing negative football or have mag connections I'd have pretty much taken anyone, because recruitment is going to make or break them. A good head coach might be responsible for small margins either way but recruitment will decide if we're having a stab at the play offs or fighting relegation.

I'd agree with this to an extent. With the current squad for example, the wrong choice (e.g. Mike Dodds) would be taking us down. The right choice would have us safe just below mid table.

Recruitment is key for us in terms of challenging at the tight end of the table though, I'd agree with that.

maybe not dodgy but it does come across as utterly lazy scouting/recruitment

Meissa N'Diaye. Head of Sport Cover agency. They represent Aouchiche, Ba, Pembele, Le Bris and Francesco Farioli.
I'll have to take your word for it that they are mates. However, if Le Bris does a job then I guess we can say KLD has got a decent contact there.

My two pennies worth (not that it matters). I want the club to do well naturally but this, on paper at least, is a very underwhelming appointment. Sometimes the stench of relegation can take years for a manager to get over. I hope I'm wrong but this could be another poor appointment.
Every appointment could be a poor appointment……or a good one…..or an average one. No one has owt but a guess at what’s gonna happen. I for one am hoping it’s gonna be a return to our pre WW2 glory years while the mags continue to flounder in their own gravy filled trophyless cesspit. But then I always do.
I’ve already began scouting out locations in RLBs hometown for a B&B in anticipation of the thousands of devout mackems making their once a decade pilgrimage every 22 June following our sixth consecutive quadruple. Haway RLB son we’re all behind you and it’s all of us against the world starting tomorrow.

Well Aouchiche was sold him after the tenth place finish when they were looking to kick on. He was young and raw and not what they needed. It's a year on now and he got plenty more game time with us than Lorient so perhaps he'll look at him in a different light.

Also he's our best corner taker now we've sacked off the Dack.
I disagree with that summary tbh. They operate on the basis of bringing through young kids to sell for higher fees, so if they sold him then it was because they simply didn’t think his potential was good enough.

I also don’t think he’s improved with us at all. In his first couple games he did some good contributions, showed flashes but was too inconsistent to start. I think that’s still the case now, with him finishing the season showing a flash of quality but being pretty anonymous on the whole.

I think he’s still about the same player ability wise as he was when Le Bris had him. That’s my take anyway.

I was clearly being flippant with the term "mate". But he clearly has a relationship there.

A decent contact? None of those players have pulled up any trees for us have they?

Apologies for my earlier post.I just found this and he started as PSG Academy - so limited time with Mr le Bris.

I didn't say anything this post disagrees with?

No, but I'm reserving any judgement on Le Bris until I see what he's given to work with and how he uses it. The use of agents an agencies has been standard practice in the game for years now. They're an absolute scurge on the game. It's no different to what everyone else does imo.
