I'm joking it's obviously not a great record- we may have hired the french Steve Bruce (tenth place finish)

However- we were linked with some youth coach from Bayern. Other than Still- noone else we have been linked with over the last few weeks has managed at the level Le Bris has.

They sold one of their big players last summer in Enzo Le Fee. A couple others left mid way through the 10th placed season. They spent £60m in replacing them.

If we do and don't replace them adequately- we will be relegated- it doesn't matter who the manager is. It is that simple.

I’ve no idea if he will be any good at SAFC but then neither does anyone else. I did however praise his teams performance the first time I saw them last season in iirc week 3 of the season when they stuffed Lens 3-1 in the opening post of last seasons “Le French Football Thread”. They were superb. Then a sell off began.

We as fans need to get behind the lad despite any doubts about KLD and/or KS and/or the model.

TBF I doubt they have anything that deserves such a name.
But I'm not against the appointment and I feel better that we have a manager who has experience of managing at a high level- I also think a French speaker is a good idea. We are probably going to be dipping into the french market again, and if we have any chance next season- some of our current French speaking contingent are going to have to step up, and maybe le Bris can get them there- I also think he'll be allowed to make a Dack type singing- an experienced french player on a free- hopefully they will have more of a Reveillere/Zenden type impact.

Mowbray was judged more by the club than the fans, Beale you could tell that was going to fall flat on its face, when you heard he finished 3rd with rangers in the SPL, you could manage rangers and at least qualify for the champions league.
 
My two pennies worth (not that it matters). I want the club to do well naturally but this, on paper at least, is a very underwhelming appointment. Sometimes the stench of relegation can take years for a manager to get over. I hope I'm wrong but this could be another poor appointment.
