Regis le Bris - confirmed

Has anyone worked out if he's shit or not yet?
That will come over the first few months of next season. There are pros and cons but unless you regularly watch French football no one knows much about him.

Relegated, does he speak English, the issues with dof previous season and player sales, adapting to new country/league and fact he has only managed 2 years at a relatively old age. We don't know how he'll take to us/interact with us and vice virca. All go against him.

He does speak French and may bring out better performances from French players, he may not understand ks's shyte and go against him. He could be a breath of fresh air with new ideas and coaching. Could he be as bad as beale/dodds?

There will be more on both sides I've missed which will become apparent over time. Anyone fully judging now isn't aware of all facts really. I've a view but nit yet formed opinion.

Time will tell and he'll be judged based on results.

In my experience, a large proportion of foreign people can speak a minimum level of English. More than the majority of English speakers can speak a modern foreign language to an acceptable standard.
This is not necessarily true for large parts of France. It’s a big country and there are large areas with many folk who speak no English (they don’t need too). For example, my mate lives near Lyon, I’ve been over a few times to watch Saracens play rugby - each time I’ve gone to the game with the vets rugby team that my mate plays for, and none of them can speak any basic English at all.

However, it’s highly unlikely that a football manager for any club in the top divisions in Europe can speak no English. In the French leagues, English will be the language that will be used with any non-French speaking players.

I just don't get all the footballing experts on here writing him off before he has been given an opportunity to show his credentials at our club.

I know fuck all about him, just like most on here I guess.

Give the bloke a chance.
.. No one's writing anymore off and he will be given a chance. Though the facts are that we were very poor at the end of the season and, so far, we haven't made any singings to suggest that will easily be put right .. If you have any knowledge that will demonstrate otherwise please let me know ..
