Regis le Bris - confirmed

100% and he also takes 100% of the blame or credit when it comes to transfers. He obviously has his budget from KLD who takes the full blame or credit as Speakman was his choice. The players and manager are on Speakman , though i think KLD French links will have had him have a big say in this, but ultimately it will boil down to what players he signs and what players he sells.

Shit always slides downwards and we have had the players blamed , we have had the managers blamed and sacked (Some for being dogshite, and some for speaking out against their restrictions which we can all see, so the next up the chain is Speakman. I gave him credit for his initial approach and I was blinkered in the sense I stuck up for him too much while not getting a striker regarding paying over the odds and holding your nerve. This was due to us wasting millions over the years on shite, but what he has invested in the last few transfer windows is very concerning as I don't see anything in most of them . Jobe apart as he has the potential but this playing him every week malarky is a piss take and I don't think it done Jobe any good TBH.

He's an 18 year old young lad. It will be interesting and vital how this new bloke comes across to the English lads as he has to convince Jobe, Rigg, Neil and a fair few others that he is the real deal to make a difference to them. The rest of this transfer window will give us all an idea of what we actually are aiming for. No more windows finishing saying we tried this but couldn't get it over the line. It's been too many times now and even getting a manager in has caused so much hassle and it's not even confirmed yet
the head of recruitment is accountable for transfers..

Il support him of course but a club of our size must be more ambitious than this for fuck sake , what is the actual point anymore …
eh?
whatr size club is sunderland and why would a head coach give a royal fuck about that?
Coaches and players go to successful clubs..not big or small ones..and SAFC has been horrifically unsuccessful for a long time

They spent a fair bit and had a mid table budget in terms of both fees and wages according to stuff posted earlier.
That said 10th is a good achievement for Lorient, my concern is that’s entirely based on an unbelievable run in his first ten games where they massively outperformed the stats. After that it was almost exclusively bottom end form and getting worse.
they had a negative net spend didnt the..ie spent less than they got in terms of incoming fees...?

He was wanted by Nice before they appointed Farioli, but the Lorient board wanted more compensation than Nice would pay, and blocked it. Then the started flogging the squad off.
Another interesting background story

Honest to christ I haven't a clue on this guy .. in fact whom amongst safc really does?

for a guys whose managed 76 games he's had a bit of a Rollercoaster ride.

Gut feeling is this is going not going to be a mundane jack Ross.. parky type time

the experts on here were handing out pelters to anyone saying there was no evidence the club wouldnt pay compo or that a new coach couldnt have some of their own backroom team..

could it be they know fuck all?

Definitely could. You are on here after all
if they got releagted with the lowest budget that different to relgelagted with the highest budget..
They didn’t have the lowest budget.

Wage bill is usually the best indicator.

I’m thinking about it along the lines of Alex Neil here. If we had blocked his move to Stoke, and sold Stewart, I’m sure he wouldn’t have been very pleasant during a season of struggle and a fair number of our fans would hate him as a result.

Context is everything when it comes to win rates - 30% with Sheff Utd last season would have been miraculous, with Man City disastrous.
