Regis le Bris - confirmed

Well what else did you mean wishing me luck? Id assumed we all want him to do well, but apparently not.

If you care more about being right than Sunderland doing well then that’s up to you.
To be honest your opinions confuse me .

I’m enjoying my Friday night beers .

Stay safe .
Tbf you've also given posters a lot of stick for disagreeing with you in the past, it's all about opinions and how much trust you have in the people running the club. Some like myself will take more convincing after last season than someone who lets say would be happy with any decision however bad it is was when it comes to our club.
I’d leave it phooey , he’s already sapped my well being.

You appear to have committed the sin of actually paying attention to what’s been going on. Shame on you.

We wouldn't have got him while he was good. That's how this works. If the compo was higher than that for Still or that Mowbray hadn't got us into the playoffs.

However, maybe it is a good thing because if it is a failure then, Speakman has no way back.

The truth is, everything probably comes down to what happens over the next three or four weeks. Who we bring in, be it coaches or players, and who we let go.

Let's not overlook the fact that we also have a crop of young players coming to the cusp of the first team.

If we play exciting, or at the very least successful football, then if we are so keen to say that the club has got it wrong, then will we prepared to say they got it right? Thought not.

Whatever this is, this is only part of what needed to happen.

Also, for anyone interested his name is an anagram for 'gerbils rise.'. Go figure.

When it's confirmed I'll be happy to wish him all the best. I sincerely hope he does a good job and improves the squad, the first team and the results.
I hope he comes in from an assertive position and brings in his own staff, has demanded a key role in recruitment and made sure that Dodds continues to serve the club best by working with the under 12s.

Ross did. But I'm not sure I can think of another.

Of course new manager bounce is really about 8 to 10 games. And also it's normally the bounce you get in a season not at the start
From memory:

Beale L
Mowbray W
Neil D
Johnson L
Parkinson L
Ross W
Coleman L
Grayson D
Moyes L
BSA L
Dick A L
Poyet L
PDC L
O’Neill W
Bruce W

4 wins, 2 draws, 9 losses. Pretty grim really although some of them did ok even if it wasn’t sustained.

KLD and KS really need to back this guy in terms of improving the squad as I suspect if we aren’t in the top 10 come the end of autumn he’ll be the next fall guy.

Speakman's way of saying 5th choice candidate.
He's not 5th choice though is he? Not in a million years.
He's the best we can attract after being rejected left right and centre by anyone with any sense. Hopefully a step up from Beale and Dodds though so we will have to get behind him and see where we're at. If our elite succession planning is going to take another 4 months we best start looking for his replacement now if we don't want to write another half a season off. Just in case like.
