I think that good managers can get relegated. And it's too often used as a stick. But this guy has been relegated 1 out of 2 seasons.

I agree it doesn't. It's a bit like signing a striker. You'd be more confident of one that had a good goalscoring record. But even then there's very rarely a guarantee.

I just think there's no real evidence to suggest this head coach will do a good job.

No I can't, but what I can say that if we offered an attractive package like an ambitous club would have, we would have had lots of interest. There clearly hasn't been much interest or we wouldn't be employing this bloke.
