Because they don't view him as an asset and if they want rid of him he can refuse and say pay the rest of my contract.

Alternatively they agree mutual termination and there is no money to be paid by either team

Seems pretty simple stuff

A lot of managers go on gardening leave on the continent when they are binned. Its so clubs can get something when they sack a manager, it's starting creeping into england as well.

sigh..but If SAFC come in before he is sacked...then they know SAFC are willing to pay for him..so why pursue any of the other options described,..when there is an option that makes them money? They would have to be mentally sub normal to take the option that gives them the least money!

The journalists at our club are pointless , never ask questions like that. I don't listen to pressers at all now. Nor listen to Collins or the other fecker.

It’s a risky one isn’t it? Honestly I actually respect the board for taking a risk and punting on him me, they could have made a lot safer appointments than him so I applaud them having balls by going for a relative unknown. I’m not saying it will work and if it doesn’t then the fans will have hell on, but if it does it will be hailed as a master stroke in recruitment.
