Regis le Bris - confirmed

He came into a toxic situation, and then proceeded to pour petrol on it. It wasn't all his fault, but he certainly made things worse with some of his rhetoric.

How though?

Like I keep asking for specifics and nobody comes up with an answer

I dont agree like as we was hated before he arrived

cockney with a rangers and celtic collection

I don't think his cockney roots were an issue, and the only things from Scotland were whispers about how bad he is.

The toxic situation was the rug pull that it felt from most fans, that metaphorically emphasised the clubs arrogance and spendthriftery, and when he started complaining about the fans, and talking about not getting a chance because of his accent...well I've never seen a manager criticise the fans last ong after that.

Hard to like, in a situation where he needed to get people onboard quickly.

Yeah, I want a fan or happy particularly because I’d seen Rangers and it made no sense style wise. Then Speakman doubled down with Best Training ever. So I got people’s issues.

Didn’t agree with the amount of personal shite he got though . I pointed out how much of a family man he seemed to be online and it was sad to see.

Mind the self promoting burner accounts were verging on nuts.

but he was hated before he arrived, personal abuse on the threads. Why? Genuine question

I think partly because of his personal reputation, then feeling gaslit by the club. I think if someone like Chalinor or Robinson had have came in, they might have experienced similar.

Could have phrased that better Micheal!

I just dunno what this personal reputation is people speak of

You don’t agree but it’s defs the Celtic/rangers thing. Why anyone pretends to care about either club I have no idea

The personal reputation is gained from what he did at QPR, then the feeling he stitched up the incumbent rangers manager.

If BSA or Roy Keane had just been rangers manager, before coming to us I don't think however badly they did there they would have had any great flack.

Mowbray, Keane, both with Celtic links.

Had absolutely nothing to do with Rangers or Celtic.
