Regis le Bris - confirmed

Sometimes the better managers are struggling at smaller clubs without the tools to improve.

You can see a large pool of our fans are waiting in the wings to boot off IF we have a similar start to what Southampton did last year.

The biggest thing for us now is getting the recruitment right. I only want experience brought in providing it's way ahead of what we have and can maybe do a job IF we ended being promoted.

How is it the end of KS? What if it's KLD's appointment?

Well he wont have the tools here either mind

He quite simply can't be much worse than Beale or Dodds.

But the point is that he has to be much better. Only time will tell on that one, but the omens aren't wonderful.

The other point is that supporter base morale is down after the last 6 months and we needed a boost to that morale with a good appointment to start off the season in the right way. This appointment isn't going to do that. I fear that team morale is the same, and unless this feller can come in strong and impose himself, his ideas and his philosophy and make it work, then we are in for a long hard season.

It's a good job he's joining a club renowned for providing the tools to improve then....

ah....

It's worth pointing out that Lorient had the 10th highest wage bill in Ligue 1 last season and were the 11th highest spenders in the league.

Yes, they sold two players for big fees and two others for very modest fees, but this narrative that it is being portrayed that he pulled off a miracle in season one and that relegated was inevitable in season two because they sold everyone and spent nothing to replace them is a load of rubbish.

Only time will tell how he does. No point arguing about interpretations of history

This is the key to how we progress this coming season.

It wouldn’t matter who was in the dugout from Still to Maric, Rosenior, Lampard etc.

Whoever we appoint needs far better backing from the recruitment team in terms of players capable of playing at this level immediately not more prospects who may be up to it at some unprescribed time in the future.

But it suits a certain narrative.

Proper ray of sunshine aren’t you

To be fair Moyes is rightly despised by many on here for what he did at Sunderland, but look how successful he’s gone on to be at West Ham
I really don't think you can compare this guy with Moyes, who had a proven record at Everton. Hope I'm wrong but don't think he will last the season and KLD will be gone as well.

Dunno why everyone is getting so riled about this. Until recently was a top division manager who was highly touted. Dragged on due to work permit issues but I'm pleased with him
I’ve seen this posted a few times. Do you know what the issue was? What criteria did he not meet that caused the problems?

There has to be a correlation between the head coach and the recruitment team.
