Think we saw quite a few postives last night.
McLaughlin - he could be shit but he'd be better than the three amigos from last season. Even with that in mind I like what I see.
Hume - Considering he was playing right back I was impressed. Obviously got things to learn but was impressed with him.
Ozturk - Doesn't look great. Hopefully this is him just settling in and with him having an injury hit pre season can get better. f***ing hope he does anyway!
Baldwin - Thought he looked good. Going to be a big player for us.
James - did well. Faded a little but was to be expected on his first game.
Cattermole - if he can produce that kind of performance in the league he will be an asset.
Power - going to make a difference this season. Looked to get it forward early with some good passing and also plyed it simple when needed.
Honeyman - showed some good touches and was involved in a few of the good plays we had.
Embleton - great corners with his left foot! Not many players can take set pieces on either foot like he can!
Thought he looked ok in patches and he isn't a winger. Having said that if we had Wyke upfront he would be more effective outwide as he has great delivery.
O'Nien - broke through a couple of times and probably should have done better but doesn't look bad. Likes a tackle and could have easily picked up a few yellows!
Maguire - I like this lad. Got great technique but isn't the man to lead the line.
