Really minor annoyances

Drive up the road, come to a point where a parked car means both cars cannot pass comfortably. I stop, pull in and flash my lights. The other driver stops, pulls in and flashes their lights.🙄

As far as i'm aware the yanks usage is " if i could could care less, i would".

I regularly see stuff posted for sale on ebay with an asking price far in excess of what you would pay for it directly from the maker.
I wonder what decision making process goes into their choosing a price.

The fact they're not aware of how much many they cost to buy makes me question if they've obtained the item legitimately.

In Scotland they say this thing. I'll meet you at the back of five. It drives me batty, so what does it actually mean 5 past 5? Half past 5? 5.55?

Any Scottish folks on here could you please.ease explain.

People fron Houghton say they will get a telephone number from the “Director of Enquiries”

This is a historical anecdote and based on my experience of one lass from Houghton.

I accept it’s statistical validity may be somewhat suspect and open to challenge.
