Really minor annoyances

Had exactly the same thing. Bought the bairn a hornby model. I won the auction, and got it for a bargain.

Paid and settled, probably £40 cheaper than anywhere else.

Message received.
"Sorry mate. Gone to package it and it's damaged. Refund issued"

Three weeks later I won the auction when he relisted it with exactly the same pics
A few quid more than the first time.

Sent him a message asking if I could pay what I paid the first time I won it.

Refund issued
I sell loads on eBay, any decent seller sets the price they’re happy with. Sometimes it doesn’t sell so you have to lower the price and take it on the chin. When I’ve just odds and ends of something left I list them starting at 99p and see what happens, anything unsold goes to the charity shop.
I’ve only once had to refund for damaged, that was a porcelain spoon I dropped when wrapping it, it shattered into a million pieces lol.

I cannot deal with people on public transport watching videos on their phones without headphones

Makes me want to go full Michael Douglas in Falling Down

 Laughed out loud to this comment
So this

I have issues with people close to me as it is, especially annoying loud noises

One of my mates does too actually and has to wear headphones on buses now. Great crack when I travel on public transport with them. Them in their own world and me wanting to kill someone

Am actually thinking it might be a modern day condition caused by such audible irritations

On the topic of noise on public transport.

Those automated announcements. I get that they may be useful to a minority of the public, and i have no issue with them being turned on if they will help anyone who is visually impaired.

But otherwise turn the bastard things off. There's one on the trains asking you to report anything suspicious that really winds me up "see it, say it, sort it".

I like them.. they do it in Nice on the trams but with a lush French accent

I hate the robotic nature of them speaking like no human being ever would, especially as you approach the last stop.
This is a Southeastern service to St Pancras International
We will be calling at St Pancras International
The next station is St Pancras International

Just have it say the last line.

Hopefully I will hear that next weekend, because it means I have Wembley tickets.

The buses are worse than the trains. At least on trains there's a bit of time between stops.
