I’m not sure if you’re taking the piss or not. Expectation levels too high ? We are Sunderland AFC the of the best supported clubs in the land , with an infrastructure that a lot of the premiership would be envious of .I honestly don’t think I’m getting above myself by wanting us to be able to compete in the third division .Peoples expectation levels on here are set too high.
I didn't expect much this window, so I'm not really disappointed.
However... If we sign some players I may move to "DEFCON - Pleasantly Surprised".
Tongue-in-cheek marra!I’m not sure if you’re taking the piss or not. Expectation levels too high ? I’m glad , it’s sometimes hard to tell on here .Tongue-in-cheek marra!
I am not thinking about it until the season starts though. I refuse to let this club wind me up anymore.I’m glad , it’s sometimes hard to tell on here .
Who has written them off?Half the lads on this thread have already written KLD and Speakman off and the season hasn't even started yet ffs. If we're still in this position come the end of the window then I'll change my tune as would most I suspect.
I'm seeing people compare them to Donald and Methven, I'd consider that writing them offWho has written them off?
You will?I’ll stick to giving the new owners & structure in place trust in doing the right thing
I’m with you mateI am not thinking about it until the season starts though. I refuse to let this club wind me up anymore.
Who has written them off?
Without a doubt we are entering a new season with the worst squad we have had in a long time.
..have you?I'm seeing people compare them to Donald and Methven, I'd consider that writing them off

Punctuation is a wonderful thingWhen mcmenemy took us down to the old third division for the first time in our history Alan Durban was asked about the candidates for the vacant managers job on look north or whatever it doesn't matter who they give it to he said anyone would get Sunderland back up first attempt from that league even his wife could do it he said how times have changed how far we have fallen
Why aye manYou will?

Alreet LJWhere is the 20 goal a season striker to replace the one who got us 30 last season? Where is our new goalkeeper to replace the one who cost us around 12 points last season. Where are our full backs? Have we now got creativity in midfield and pace in our team we’ve needed for years? A few people seem happy with the signings but the squad is thread bare. Expected so much more. Hopefully we bring a few more in but the season starts next week. Doesn’t suggest great planning to me. Ps why on earth isn’t the club shop open.
Is this the Stewart who hasn't scored pre season?Stewart looks more likely to score 30 goals this season than Wyke did this time last season.
I don't read anything into pre-season. My point is just that people are writing him off, and the same people (all of us) would have never thought Wyke would score goals last year. So there's no reason Stewart won't this year.Is this the Stewart who hasn't scored pre season?![]()
It would be madness to put all our eggs in the Stewart / Grigg / O'Brien basket. We need a proven striker who isn't Will Grigg!I don't read anything into pre-season.
