I don’t see much widespread ridicule from other supporters (outside of Sunderland) and the media on this fwiw. The tone is starting to shift a little in the media too

Good question. Personally, i think he would finish lower than Howe, and i also think Howe would have the mags finishing higher than the FSW will.

I rate Howe though so I may be in the minority in my opinion.On another note get a tenner on Chelsea to win 1-0 tonight,returns £35 and its half time already.

That's my opinion as well mate.

Howe continually praises his players and instils confidence and team work ... they play above themselves.

Benitez continually says his players simply aren't good enough ... they play below themselves.

I doubt Howe would've signed half of those Newcastle knackers but he got twice as much out of Ritchie as Benitez has.

Agree about Sombrero btw, I'll always stand his corner on here when he's taking undue flak just cos he's a Mag.

Sombrero and Leonard Osbourne are the only mags I don't have on ignore. It's a million times better on here not having to read the absolute shite posted by the rest of the deluded fuckwits.
 
James Horncastle criticised him for his negativity on the latest edition of The Totally Football Show. Oddly that's the first time I've seen or heard any criticism towards Benitez this season from a respected journalist
